Welcome to the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of SWA (SJVC)
The Society of West-Coast Artists, a 501(c)3 non-profit fine arts society. With 2 chapters, located in Northern San Francisco Bay Area and Central San Joaquin Valley, California.
Our Chapter serves artists living and creating art in the Central Valley of California in the following counties, Fresno, Kern, Madera, Merced, San Luis Obispo, Stanislaus and Tulare providing local events, partnerships and camaraderie.
Our chapter offers much to inspire artists, with Yosemite National Park to the north, golden ranch lands in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, the richest of farmlands in the valley itself and the beautiful Pacific Ocean along our west-most borders.
The San Joaquin Valley Chapter offers several local competitive exhibits and creative outings each year for artists in our area, as well as providing a bridge to events and the annual Member Exhibition held in our San Bruno Fine Art Gallery center headquarters. In addition, artists are invited to enter the International annual online exhibition "The Pacific Artistry Showcase". Both of these events are sponsored by the San Francisco Chapter of SWA.
Note: Membership in one chapter is a membership in all chapters of SWA as a whole.

Demonstrations
We hold free Demonstrations from January to November by well-known artists are held on a variety of subjects on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the
Door Art Gallery, 3073 W. Bullard Ave. Fresno, 93711,
that is open to the public.
The demonstration is also available to watch by Zoom and can be viewed later on our YouTube channel, if you missed it. Zoom link will be posted on each event. We urge you to drop in, meet some other artists and learn what we are all about.
